Specifications include, but are not limited to: Recap school bus tires with “premium quality”. Procured rubber, mud, and snow tread design, and tread depth equal to or better than standard new Michelin XDN2 or MRT XDN2 tires produced in Utah. The recapping process must be the cold process, meaning procured threaded rubber is bonded to the casing only in the capping process. Curing temperature tread to casing must be procured retread process. Recapping by the “HOT CAP” system, where tread design is made in cap material during retreading process, will “NOT BE ACCEPTABLE”. All casings are to be a laser, ultrasonically, electronically, and/or fluoroscopic x-ray/scanned to detect flaws. Vendor-to-state flaw detection systems are being employed. All casing will be tested through stereography.
