The HEAL Program at the Department of Health and Human Services has been working with Talance since 2017 to build and host an e-learning option for the CHW Core Skills training. Talance has built out a comprehensive 90 hour training that includes an annual subscription of 20-24 modules, a course hosting platform (Platinum Level) that can accommodate between 151-250 students, and a maintenance plan (Standard Success Plan). Effective May 4, 2022, Senate Bill 104 creates a process for voluntary state certification for CHWs. An essential part of this certification is the completion of the Core Skills Training. Talance offers a unique e-learning platform, with adult-learner features to ensure that the required information is learned by the students. They have the experience DHHS needs to effectively implement state certification.
