Specifications include, but are not limited to: Summit County is soliciting priced proposals for one new Snowplow, Double Auger style Sander with new Prewet System, and new Force America Hydraulic System to a Summit County Owned, Bob Tail 4 x 4 Truck Cab & Chassis meeting the minimum specifications contained in the Request for Proposals. Straight Plow: Moldboard • Width is 12 feet • 3/16" thick (min) and approximately 41" high with 8" cutting edge attached • Plow must be smooth formed with integral extension similar to moldboard contour. • Must include a "mailbox" cut-out on the top of moldboard is required. Cut-out should be parallel with the centerline along the truck chassis when moldboard is fully angled • ½" thick by 12" wide, 4 cord minimum rubber belting shield. Rubber shield is to be bolted to the moldboard in approximately a 45 ° position, with reinforcement bar across the front for strength. The bars must be strong enough not to bend in normal operation of the plow. • 8 each (min) one-piece ribs are 2" - 3½" wide and 1/2" thick. The ribs must be one-piece with no weld joints and run from top to bottom of moldboard. Where the rib is fastened at the top, the bottom of the rib is cut to allow water to drain. The ribs to have continuous welds top to bottom. • Angle attachment of moldboard at the bottom is accomplished using a "Z" design (alternative designs must be approved in advance of purchase). The angle is 4" x 2" x 4" material. Both flange edges of angle are welded continuously to the back side of moldboard with a 2"x4" flat bar under the angle on moldboard with continuous welds. Gussets are welded to bottom side of angle every 12". The angle is enclosed at each end, continuous weld to seal from outside moisture. • All surfaces must be high pressure cleaned and degreased with phosphate solution or sandblasted before powder coated o Moldboard is MACK MED RED; 784033 or 9442008. o Push Frame assembly and hitch components are powder coated black.
