The 763rd ESS is seeking information for potential sources for Modular Computer Rack
Sets for the AVTRAT system on behalf of AMC/A3T, who requires 30 ‘SETS’ of
specialized server racks to support the AVTRAT under the established program of
record. The solution must be a stackable, modular kit which can be configured and
reconfigured up to 5 units high, with a minimum 9U of vertical mounting space.
One SET shall be defined as 6 modular units. This will include 2 base units (levels/feet)
and 4 generic modules to stack on the base modules.
- Thirty (30) ‘SETS’ of specialized server modular racks to support the Advanced
Virtual Threat Reaction and Avoidance Trainer (VTRAT)
- A ‘Set’ is defined as:
o Six (6) modules, with two (2) of those modules having leveling base
pieces
(180 total individual modules with 60 of those having base pieces)
- Each rack module must be
o Stackable
o Be able to fully assemble without the use of tools. Utilize thumbscrews,
wingnuts, etc
o EIA-310 spec-compliant
o Module exterior height – 17”-20”
o Module interior height – 9U
o Module exterior width – 20”- 24"
o Module interior width – 482.6mm/19”
o Module exterior depth – 28”- 30”
o Module interior depth – 12U
o Modules shall weigh no more than 30lbs (without computers/components
installed)
o Shall be steel. No plastic/resin load- bearing components are acceptable
- Hold 1000lbs of weight mounted in a stack of 5 modular units
- This setup will be divided into detachable pieces to allow for deployment, rather
than one immovable large rack.
