Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to enter into a contract, with a qualified vendor, to provide Remote Library Authentication Services. This must allow a secure and remote authentication process, single sign-on, to students and patrons to access the Snow College Library research databases. All of these eResources are maintained by different vendor and it is expected that these resources will change and grow. Snow College is seeking information regarding your company’s ability to provide a comprehensive service for the specifications listed in this RFP. The authentication service coordination will be managed by the Library Systems Administrator and the Technical Services Librarian. Using Single Sign On, the authentication service allows students access to remote databases from off campus. In addition, the Snow College Libraries serve employees who also have a patron account assigned to them through the Snow College Library. All these patrons would pass through the authentication tool to authenticate into multiple resources and databases currently found on the Snow Library database page. All of these eResources are maintained by different vendors (25 vendors). It is expected that the list of eResources available through Snow College will continue to grow in the future.
