Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this request for proposal is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide a personalized online curriculum program and educational delivery system for students in grades K-12. The successful vendor or vendors should provide: • A wide range of individualized curriculum choices, offering multiple learning methods to maximize each student’s chances for success. The curriculum choices should include both core and elective courses, AP and honors courses, and courses that meet NCAA requirements and provide students unlimited access to curriculum which maps to the Utah Core Standards. • Expertise regarding compliance with related Utah State Board of Education (USBE) Rules. • A team of Utah-certified teachers, eligible to be listed in the USBE Cactus system, with proper endorsements by grade level, plus experienced learning coaches, tutors, and/or mentors. • Community partnerships across the state which provide students valuable, real-world experiences through service learning opportunities, internships, Maker-Space classes, young entrepreneur competitions, robotic team challenges, and many more. • A catalog of at least 20 online elective courses built specifically for students’ that are focused on science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics (STEAM), leadership and entrepreneurship. o Examples should include topics such as Robotics, Computer Programming, Game Design, Web Development, 3D Design, Cartoon Animation, Minecraft Programming, Digital Art, Rocketry, Engineering, Graphic Design, Photography and Editing, Sound and Music Mixing, Beginning Entrepreneurship, and more. • Sufficient technological assistance to design, manage, facilitate, and track a personalized education program for each student. • Support sufficient to assist, under the direction of the school registrar, with the process of enrolling students. • A secure, electronic learning management system that permits real-time visibility to each student’s progress and attendance records.
