Specifications include, but are not limited to: ○ Change engine oil and filter; ○ Use manufacturer’s recommended oil viscosity grade; ○ Use manufacturer’s recommended API rating of oil; ○ Use a quality oil filter that meets manufacturer’s specifications; ○ Fill engine crankcase to full mark as indicated on the dipstick; ○ Check and adjust all fluid levels to normal levels using manufacturer’s recommended or equivalent fluids (not including gasoline, diesel, or diesel exhaust fluid): ○ Anti-freeze; ○ Automatic transmission; ○ Manual transmission; ○ Power steering; ○ Brake; ○ Front differential; ○ Rear differential; ○ Grease all vehicle original equipped grease zerks with a premium quality grease. After-market added accessories shall not be greased (examples include dump beds, snow plows, sanders, etc.). All steering, suspension, and drive-train grease zerks shall be greased including, but not limited to: ○ Driveline u-joints; ○ Axle shaft u-joints; ○ Steering joints and tie rods; ○ Track bars; ○ Ball joints; ○ King pins; ○ Leaf spring shackles; ○ Set tire pressure to manufacturer’s recommended specification (typically found on the driver’s door or driver’s side “A” pillar); ○ Notify driver verbally and on written service invoice of the following concerns: ○ Tire pressure is under 50% of manufacturer’s recommended pressure; ○ Tire is worn under 2/32” or down to wear bar; ○ Pre-service oil level is below oil dipstick add mark; ○ Any malfunction indicator is on with engine running (specifically the check engine light); ○ Dripping fluid leak (this does not include normal fluid seepage); ○ Any other unsafe condition that could cause vehicle damage or bodily harm
