Specifications include, but are not limited to: UDC is seeking information regarding a one-way digital mail service which allows people to send an electronic message or email for printing and delivery to inmates housed at the Utah State Prison (USP) in Draper, Utah and at the Central Utah Correctional Facility (CUCF) located in Gunnison , Utah. Email will be printed and delivered to inmates by UDC staff. Identified below are some capabilities UDC is looking for in this system: On-way incoming email/message service to inmates housed at USP and CUCF Email/message accessible on the internet, tablet or smart phone. Creating an account to access email/message services Funding of the account by users who will buy a pack of emails/messages and/or attachments Users will use this service to send emails/messages to inmates (Emails/messages are limited in length and attachments are at an additional charge UDC must be able to access emails/messages and attachments via computer Content is permanently saved on a searchable database for UDC Automated alerts notify UDC staff about suspect or questionable content UDC mail staff must be able to read/review all content and print approved emails/messages and attachments Approve attachments are printed as 4x6 color photos All printed content is delivered to inmates with regular mail UDC mail staff can reject content violating policy Senders are will be sent a reason for rejection and such information is saved in the database Must integrate with UDC Offender Tracking and Finance system and must include current inmate housing information for content The service must be self-funding: Sender’s fees cover service and operational costs to UDC including covering the cost of scan and print service provided by UDC for US mail. Ability for customization of service to meet UDC needs
