Specifications include, but are not limited to: Building materials requested will consist of complete pre-fabricated kits including ribbed steel panels, steel beams/purlins, gutters, and all required fasteners for construction of 1 (one) Guzzler apron. Each Guzzler “kit” consists of 32 ribbed sheet metal panels (panels must be 24 gauge and supplier must show invoice from manufacturer to confirm panel gauge) supported by a 24’ x 36’ steel frame. Each Guzzler’s frame is made from 8 steel 6”x 9”x18’ I-beams joined by ½ inch thick end plates bolted together and beams cross-braced with 21 “zee” purlins and 6 “cee” purlins (These purlins must be cold formed to meet MBCI standard or equivalent). Purlins are to be attached to ¼-inch purlin clips welded to the I-beams. These clips need to be on both sides of all I-beams to allow for future expansion if deemed necessary. See photos 3 and 4 and attached drawing: section A-A). All joining points to be joined with bolts (endplates on I-beam, welded purlin clips, cee and zee purlins) are to be pre drilled or punched with proper alignment for bolt installation. End caps on I-beams and Purlin Clips to be fabricated out of 50K SI Minimum Yield. All other steel to be A36 or greater strength. Each guzzler kit will include a 24’ sheet metal gutter made from three 10’2” formed sections. A variety of bolts, nuts, screws, and sealer tape will be included for each kit. For an itemized product description, see Table #1 below. For schematics on Guzzler materials, see Diagrams #1 through #4 below. For examples of a guzzler frame and apron, see Photos 1 and 2.
