Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Reading Assessment Requirements ● Materials are free from bias in their portrayal of ethnic groups, gender, age, disabilities, cultures, religion, etc. and contain accommodations for students with exceptionalities, English Language Learners, and cultural differences. ● Preference given to those platforms with the assessment instructions in Spanish even though the assessment is in English. ● Consideration for platforms that include an assessment in the native language to determine student proficiency in their native language. ● Preference for assessments created specifically for students in grades 6 through 12 ● Preference for an assessment that can be given in 2 hours or fewer ● Assessment should focus on foundational reading skills and reading comprehension. ● Assessment should provide a grade-level equivalency and Lexile level as well as individual scores in specific reading subskills (e.g. phonology, phonemic awareness, morphology, decoding, vocabulary, etc.) ● Assessment must available to administer online; 2. Assessment Usability ● User-friendly access and navigation for all users. ● The ability for the district digital administrator and/or building administrator and class teacher to manipulate the tests offered. ● Provide reasonably detailed training for teachers and administrators included in the cost of adoption. ● Digital resources/tools should be compatible with the Nebo School District’s student information system (Infinite Campus), SSO, Google Classroom and Canvas. ● Digital resources/tools must be web-based ● User-friendly access (i.e. Single Sign On) and navigation for all users. ● Preference to platforms that have reports accessible to student and/or parents. ● Availability of comprehensive, manipulatable, and easy to understand reports...
