Specifications include, but are not limited to: An Artist or Artist Team to create a unique artwork that will be installed at the new Mid-Valley Performing Art Center. The artwork selected for this project should be a hanging sculptural piece(s) and address one or more of the following goals: Depict rhythm, energy, movement and layers. Respond to changes in the environment through the play of light and shadow. Fit in scale to the identified project site. (Dimensioned drawings will be provided to the awarded Artist or Artist Team) Be aesthetically compatible with the buildings architecture and interior design elements. Be a quality work of art. The work must be able to hold up and be easily maintained in a public setting.
