The selected Land Valuation Designer will be responsible for the following tasks: • Post-training support for Data Analyst III – Provide training in statistical land modeling for the newly hired Data Analyst III, including: o Using PUMA and ASMT data extractions o Passing the sales ratio test required by the Utah State Tax Commission o Delivering land values during the compilation of the Assessment Roll by the required due date Assist and Train – for the land valuation of approximately 180,000 parcels: • Approximately 27,000 vacant land parcels • Approximately 147,000 single family residential parcels • Approximately 5,000 twin-home parcels Land District Modeling and Consolidation – Simplify and consolidate the number of land districts by identifying and merging districts with similar characteristics. Tasks include: • Extract property characteristics of structures in each land district (approximately 1,000 total) • Summarize data to identify similar or overlapping land districts • Collaborate with the Parcel Processor to propose combining or adjusting land district boundaries
