Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kyune Creek Slashing Project is designed to reduce late seral conifer stands and stimulate aspen regeneration within the project by applying prescribed burning. To safely implement late fall burning on the project, hand felling of conifer is being utilized to create ignition/slash lines within some of the burn units to allow for prescribed burning in cooler, wetter conditions. These ignition lines will total approximately 137 acres of mixed conifer slashing. This contract requires the contractor to furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals to clear-cut approximately 197,056 linear feet of 30ft wide ignition lines for an approximate footprint of 137 total cut acres within the Kyune Creek Project area. Project related activities must be completed before November 30, 2023. The Kyune Creek Slashing Project occurs on BLM and Private land in Utah County, Utah. The project is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Price, UT in Township 11 South, Range 9 East, Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, and 21 of the Salt Lake Meridian. Elevation ranges from 7,400 feet to 9,100 feet. Acreage is based on total length of all ignition/slash lines multiplied by the 30-foot cut swath. Compartment A: (87,792 linear feet) x 30ft = 61 acres; Compartment B: (109,264 linear feet) x 30ft = 76 acres; Total: (197,056 linear feet) x 30ft = 137 acres
