Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposer is expected to handle all the cases to which Proposer is court appointed pursuant to U.C.A. §26-6b-4, §62A-15-631 and §62A-5-312. Beginning January 1, 2021, new cases will be referred to the Proposer by the court. Unless denied by the court, the Proposer will also assume all pending cases for which the existing contractor had responsibility prior to January 1, 2021. Caseload varies depending on a variety of circumstances, including changes in state law. Based on the data from Year 2014 through 2019, Proposer is expected to handle an average 45 new filings with an average 42 scheduled hearings weekly in all proceedings. The proceedings include, but not limited to, initial hearings, review hearings, indeterminate notices of continuation, cases dropped or transferred to other courts prior to initial hearing, and cases discharged prior to a review hearing. Proposer is expected to provide legal representation services where the hearings take place, most likely at the location of University Neuropsychiatric Institute and Utah State Hospital.
