Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 11-48-103(4), municipalities are required to conduct a formal review of 911 service providers and interfacility transport service providers. The review evaluates the cost, quality, and access goals for the municipality’s emergency medical services within its service area. Farmington City currently provides its own 911 emergency services and relies upon Bountiful City to provide dispatching for emergency calls. The City is currently satisfied with its in-house service but will evaluate all qualified proposals in accordance with state law. This request for proposals (“RFP”) seeks to evaluate existing and alternative providers to render emergency response and inter-facility patient transport services.
