The Bluff Community Center in Bluff, Utah, serves as a central community gathering spot. The large gymnasium/auditorium space is a popular community resource that is used not only by the town government for all major town functions but is a space that can be rented on an hourly or daily-basis by organizations and private parties. It is a valuable, frequently used community asset. The Town of Bluff requests an Electrician or licensed General Contractor to complete an energy-efficiency lighting retrofit project at the Bluff Community Center, a 6,000-square-foot building located in the center of our community. The building was originally constructed around 1976 and underwent a renovation project in 2001. During the renovation, the current fluorescent light fixtures were installed. Over the past few years, we have retrofitted and replaced the fluorescent bulbs on the west side of the gym with more eco-friendly LED bulbs. The fixtures on the east side of the gym, in the utility closets and restrooms, and the senior center are a T12 electronic ballast model. It has been determined that it would be more cost effective to fully replace both the fixture and bulbs, rather than retrofit only the bulbs.
