Specifications include, but are not limited to: Davis Technical College HVAC Program determined the need for an Electronically Controlled Motor (ECM) Trainer. This trainer will assist student understand how to repair and install ECMs as well as the principles behind them. The HVAC program identified the following needed features and functions: Required • A Control Box • A Kil-A-Watt meter (to provide real-time volts, amps, watts & power factor) • A EVO PWM controller (to provide variable speed control of model 2.3 ECM) • Wiring harnesses for all motor types • Transformer connections for the TecInspect diagnostic tool • Troubleshooting switches (for fault simulation) • An ECM Service Guide (A diagnostic guide for all motors provided) • Safety grill on air inlet side • A Motor mount for 48 frame motors • A Safety screen on blower outlet • User guide for set-up, operation and recommended training and troubleshooting tasks. • The unit must be assembled and ready to operate. • Unit must be Off-the-Shelf and industry proven not custom built.
