Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Hepatitis B Immunity Check a. If the employee is determined to be immune, no further action is needed. b. If the employee is determined to not have immunity, either a booster shot or a full three-shot series will be given as determined by the appropriate medical provider based on the results of the immunity check. c. The booster shot should be administered immediately after determining it is necessary. d. For the three-shot series, the first shot should be administered immediately after determining lack of immunity. The second shot should be administered 30 days later and the third shot administered six months after the first shot. 2. Hepatitis A Vaccination a. A two-shot vaccination series, with the first shot administered at the initial screening and the second shot administered six months after the first. 3. Tuberculosis screening a. A PPD placement to check for potential TB infection. A positive PPD result will necessitate a follow-up check, generally a chest x-ray, as determined by the appropriate medical provider. 4.
