Project Overview Client: Sandy City Corporation Utility Provider: PacificCorp Location: 260 E 11000 S. Sandy, UT Purpose: Install underground electrical infrastructure including conduit, transformer pads, and service connections for Crescent Park Pump House. Contractor Responsibilities Permitting & Compliance Obtain all required permits from Sandy City prior to beginning any work. Install one (1) 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC conduit (or greater) for secondary service (20-meter run). Trenching & Backfill: Excavate trench along designated route. Ensure trench depth and width comply with NEC and PacifiCorp standards. Backfill with clean fill, compacted in layers. Conduit Bends: Use long sweep fiberglass elbows for all directional changes. Transformer Pad Placement: Install 3-phase transformer concrete flat pads (Stock Item #1790021) at designated park location. Site Restoration & Landscaping: Restore all disturbed areas to original or better condition. Repair or replace any damaged landscaping, irrigation systems, turf, or hardscape features. Coordinate with Sandy City Parks Department for final approval of restoration work. Traffic Control & Safety Measures Traffic Control Plan: Develop and submit a traffic control plan for approval by Sandy City Public Works. Include signage, barricades, cones, and flaggers as required by MUTCD standards. Pedestrian Safety: Provide safe pedestrian detours around work zones, especially near park entrances and sidewalks. Work Zone Protection: Install fencing or barriers around open trenches and pad excavation areas. Use high-visibility tape and signage to mark hazards. Crew Safety: All personnel must wear appropriate PPE: hard hats, high-visibility vests, gloves, and safety boots. Emergency Access: Always maintain clear access for emergency vehicles. Dust & Debris Control: Implement dust suppression measures during excavation. Scale: 1" - 50' Inspection & Documentation: Pre-Backfill Inspection: Schedule inspection with city and utility before backfilling trenches.
