Task 1 - Meetings & Management Project management Prepare for and hold at least three meetings (virtual or in-person) with the study team (Sandy City and Cottonwood Heights City Representatives Task 2 - Stakeholder & Public Involvement Conduct one public meeting Present to Cottonwood Heights City Council twice Task 3 - Data Collection & Analysis Conduct at least one site visit Review school safe walking routes and recommended any modifications and/or improvements. Perform a corridor safety analysis, identifying existing safety issues and mitigation strategies. Analysis should consider crash hot-spots, risk due to lack of improvements and safe facilities, incorrectly placed facilities that are decreasing safety, sight distances, and consider pedestrian demand and vehicle volumes. Recommend crosswalk locations (which may include removal and/or relocation of existing crosswalks) and associated improvements for implementation while considering Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, AASHTO, and MUTCD Standards. Recommendations should include those that can be implemented in both short-term and long-term situations. Long-term recommendations assume Creek Road is built out to Sandy's 64-foot minor collector standard. Each improvement recommendation should include a rough cost estimate. Task 4 - Documentation Prepare a memo documenting the analysis and recommendations Prepare presentation slides for city council meetings
