Specifications include, but are not limited to: Herriman City is seeking Intent to Negotiate Proposals from qualified candidates to consult on utilizing fiber networks to connect City infrastructure such as internet to City buildings, fiber to streetlights and water meters, etc. The Proposer shall also include an analysis and solution on connecting Broadband to all City residents. It is anticipated that the Proposer(s) chosen would have the capacity and ability to serve as the City’s Consultant to provide improved connectivity for City services. Herriman City has the desire to become an inter-connected smart city by utilizing a fiber optic network to facilitate seamless communication between various City campuses, provide improved response times for emergency services, and implement a variety of other smart city infrastructure components. The benefits of the partnership include enhanced development opportunities and more efficient operation of city infrastructure and emergency services.
