Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide and install Bell, PA and Intercom systems in 4 CCSD schools. Also, the results of this RFP will be the standard used in any new construction and needed replacement of existing outdated systems for the next five (5) years. Cache County School District is looking for a Bell, PA and Intercom system for new construction and replacement of outdated systems in existing schools. The proposed system must meet the following parameters. Requirements: The contractor shall provide an itemized unit cost for all required hardware. Unit Price Estimated install cost per device (Composite labor rate) The manufacturer must provide a hardware and software solution as a complete package. The manufacturer must provide an end-to-end warrantied solution. Fully IP based system with speakers, classroom touch panels, modules. Must remain functional during temporary WAN outages. Must work within the District’s disaster recovery process. (describe backup process) Teachers must be able to respond to classroom calls hands free. Provide fully audible communication between the front office and all/or targeted groups and classrooms. Provide fully audible broadcast of pre-recorded digital audio files to all or targeted classrooms, the library, the cafeteria, the campus office waiting area, all restroom areas, faculty lounge, hallways and external areas. (list digital files accepted) Provide line input for fully audible external audio devices to be assigned to desired zones for live playback. Provide fully audible programmable scheduled bell alerts to all or targeted classrooms, the library, the cafeteria, the campus office waiting area, all restroom areas, faculty lounge, hallways and external areas. Classroom call and response should be able to happen with the classroom audio system through the teacher mic. Emergency classroom calls must be adaptable and customizable by the district. Any classroom equipment must be rugged and able to withstand hard use. Membrane keypads do not meet this requirement. Must interface reliably with the district's hosted telephone system currently based with Cisco. Must synchronize time with CCSD time servers. When updating existing systems the proposed system should be able to reuse existing infrastructure, speakers, amplifiers, etc. (describe options for what the system can do) The system shall be easy to learn and operate. All standard system programming shall be web based, user friendly, and allow the school to easily change bell and zone programming. Web clients supported within the district include: Chrome, Firefox and Safari. These changes can be ad hoc or a calendar based recurring depending upon the school’s need. (list supported browsers) All installed cabling will present an ordered look and use industry best practice standards. All work must meet Cache District cabling, fire and safety standards. Vendor will provide an excel spreadsheet documenting MAC address, IP address, physical location and device model number. Training will be provided for end users and tech support. (Describe training model) Must be able to provide onsite service within 4 business hours. (describe support structure) Describe software life cycle, patch release, major upgrade, and vulnerability response. Include costs required to keep the system maintained and up to date. Describe teacher check in ability. Faculty must have the ability to push safe or unsafe in the classroom and that input can interface with the mapping software. In addition to using the district phone system, vendors must provide dedicated intercom consoles that provide the same functionality. Must interface and function with S2 security software.
