West Valley City is seeking proposals from qualified venders to propose and apply an asphalt pavement preservation treatment product for neighborhood streets. The product is anticipated to be a sprayed asphalt emulsion, with fine aggregate, polymer and other additives intended to extend pavement life, prevent oxidative damage from moisture and UV rays, enhance surface performance, and reduce long-term maintenance costs. The City invites vendors to submit proposals detailing their proprietary product, along with performance data, unit pricing, and references for similar applications. The selected product and its specification will become the City’s standard for pavement preservation treatments for the foreseeable future, subject to satisfactory performance and the winning proposal will be awarded a contract in 2025 to place the selected pavement preservation product. Contracts for future years will be bid using the specification for the selected asphalt pavement preservation treatment product.
