Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. This waiver justification is for the purchase of an airport runway snowblower and related equipment and repair parts and needs to match existing equipment already at the department and the department has standardized on this equipment due to the existing fleet requirements and repair parts for emergency snow removal operations. This standardization of equipment and repair parts aides in less diagnostic time and down time, operator familiarity and increased efficiency. In the past, these runway snowblowers have been purchased through the proposed supplier and their cooperative contracts. The proposed repair parts are proprietary and there is no comparable equipment reasonably available and the proposed supplier is the manufacturer and is the only known supplier reasonably available to meet the needs of the department.
