The Consultant shall provide a full complement of professional services to redesign the north leg of the 4800 West and SR-92 intersection to better align the northbound travel lane. This design will also consist of a ten foot wide multipurpose path north from this intersection to Alpine Main Street. In addition, Alpine City would like to consider possible safety improvements at intersections along the alignment. The project shall comply with all applicable Highland City Standards and Specifications, Alpine City Standards and Specifications, and all AASHTO standards and specifications. Any work within UDOT right of way shall comply with UDOT standards and specifications. These services shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, those outlined below: A. Preliminary Design: The Consultant shall review the preliminary roadway footprint element and identify any areas of concern. Highland City will provide the Consultant with the proposed right-of-way and width for the roadway. Final alignment will require right-of-way acquisition from adjacent landowners. Preparation of plans and documents pertaining to ROW will be included with this Agreement as necessary. B. Utility Location: Utility identification and location work will be required as part of this RFP for a complete design that would identify and mitigate utility conflicts. The Consultant will provide details for the relocation of utilities that are in conflict with the road project C. Design Criteria: The Consultant shall provide to the Cities the plans, specifications and design criteria to be used for the project including but not limited to, the following: 1. Pavement design for roadway and multi-use path 2. Signal relocation, signing, and striping design 3. Retaining wall as needed 4. Right-of-way acquisition 5. Safety improvements for intersections in Alpine City.
