• Contractor shall execute the work described herein. • The pump and motor are currently operable and may be started for a short period of time (15 minutes or less) to help diagnose problems. • The booster station is NOT equipped with hatchways above each pump/motor assembly for removing the pumps and motors. There is a 2-ton crane in the building that may be used once express written consent is given by JVWCD. • The electrical connections and instrumentation for the motor, for this pump, will be disconnected by JVWCD staff. The motor will need to be pulled by the Contractor and will need to be safely and securely left at the site. Once the pump is installed the motor will need to be reinstalled by the contractor. JVWCD staff will connect power and instrumentation. • A thorough disassembly and inspection of the pump shall be performed by the contractor. Contractor will allow the Owner to visit, review and discuss findings while pump is disassembled. • Reconditioning of the pump assembly shall include but not limited to: Replacement of the pump shaft, motor shaft, all line shafts and all couplings. Material shall be 416 stainless steel. Replacement of the line shaft bearings. Installation of new wear rings (new rings shall be pinned). Reconditioning of the packing box. Installation of a new packing box bearing and new packing. Exterior of the column pipe shall be sandblasted to a SP10 finish. Two (2) coats of a potable epoxy coating of not less than 6 mils each shall be applied to the ID and OD. Total overall thickness of coatings shall not be less than 12 mils. The coating color shall match the existing pump color before repairs were performed
