The cabin was discovered at a construction site inside the walls of a mid-20th-century home. The City of Orem decided to preserve the cabin and moved it off the construction site. The pioneer cabin is estimated to have been built in 1885 and is a hall-parlor house. The City of Orem plans to rebuild and restore the cabin at the City’s new Heritage Park.
