All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility Mold Remediation Project, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The objective of this project is for the Mold Remediation, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Cleaning, HVAC systems components and duct cleaning of these locations. Inmate Pods (9A/9B, 9C/9D, G/H, I/J, L/K), Building 1, 2 nd Building/Library, Unit 6 Guard Pods, Medical Unit, and Chief’s area offices. 1. Cover and seal all non-secure items in area with plastic. 2. Place areas under negative pressure to remove and reduce airborne contaminants spread. 3. Remove all water damaged and microbial infected drywall and/or other materials on ceiling by scraping and removing all stucco. 4. Contact vacuum and wet wipe all surface and items within the affected areas. 5. Conduct and apply mold remediation and sanitization techniques to kill and remove mold spores and all other allergens/contaminants from within the affected areas to include air scrubbing and Hydroxyl treatment. 6. Apply anti -microbial treatment where practical and /or applicable. 7. Clean and sanitize the HVAC air handlers, coils, ductwork, and related indoor components. If items such as books, tapes, library materials etc. require treatment, an acceptable remediation method is transportation to a facility where the items are treated by vacuum storage to remove water and mold treating in a gas environment. 8. Painting to be done by others. 9. Contractor to certify completion of mold remediation. 10. The contractor to be responsible for removal and disposal of items that may not be treatable and may need to be disposed of.
