The purpose of this contract is to provide emergency road restoration services for the Department of Public Works (DPW) in the Districts of St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John/Water Island as directed by an authorized representative DPW. The Department reserves the right to utilize a Contractor in an emergency or as needed to maintain the roadways throughout the territory. GENERAL The purpose of this contract is to provide emergency road restoration services for the Department of Public Works (DPW) in the Districts of St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John/Water Island as directed by an authorized representative DPW. The Department reserves the right to utilize a Contractor in an emergency or as needed to maintain the roadways throughout the territory. SERVICES The services under this contract shall be for a period of one (1) year with a renewable option for one (1) additional year at the discretion of the Government of the Virgin Islands. The Contractor shall provide all labor, small tools, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to provide the aforementioned services. The work shall consist of the following: A. Paving road sections for restoration of road surface to a smooth and safe condition; B. Targeted road repairs to fix cracks, potholes, and uneven sections; C. Dead Animal Removal & Disposal; and D. Temporary Traffic Control.
