Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Authority is seeking proposals to establish a pre-need, pre-event contract with qualified and experienced contractors for Marine Debris Removal Services in the district of St. Thomas/St. John District after a declared disaster or emergency event. The purpose of these services is to ensure that the Virgin Islands Port Authority can reopen its seaports immediately after a declared disaster or emergency.The Authority may award services to more than one contractor. The services underthis Contract will begin upon Board Approval and extend for one year with an option to renew for two (2) additional one-year period. The Contractor Proposer agrees and understands that the contract shall not be construed as an exclusive arrangement and further agrees that the Authority may, at any time, secure similar or identical services from another vendor at the Authority’s sole option.
