Specifications include, but are not limited to: A contractor to provide all medical care to residents at the Home, as assigned and directed by the Medical Director; and Provide regular, professional medical services for residents, including regular daily visits to the Home, five (5) days per week, to provide examinations and/or treatment of the residents, as assigned and directed by the Medical Director; and Maintain medical charts and records of the residents of the Home, as assigned to the Contractor by the Medical Director; and Be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including holidays, to provide medical services, as may be required and/or directed by the Medical Director; and Arrange for the use of the services of the Emergency Room, ambulances, and other regular services of the St. Croix Hospital to assist with the afore-mentioned services; and Be responsible for arranging for a replacement physician to provide medical services coverage as described abo e during the absence of the Contractor due to illness, vacation, and/or attendance at professional seminars or conferences, as approved by the Medical Director. Such coverage must be provided by a licensed physician approved by the Medical Director. Compensation for the replacement is to be negotiated between the replacement physician and the Contractor and must be provided by the Contractor. The Government is not responsible for the compensation of any replacement physician as defined above; and Participate with the Medical Director, or his/her designee, in the planning of medical care and other services, including admissions standards and policies, for the residents of the Home; and Assist the Medical Director in the preparation of the annual written report, due September 30 of the contract year, on the general conditions of the residents of the Home, and the relationship(s) between these conditions and the physical environment and/or policies and practices of the Home Any other professional medical activity, as may be directed by the Medical Director.
