Specifications include, but are not limited to: Information for engineering services for the design of a monitoring and control system for the downtown network electrical distribution system. The downtown network electrical distribution system covers approximately 0.68 square miles within the downtown San Antonio, Texas central business district. The current 2017 CPS Energy downtown network system consists of 186 vaults, 545 transformers, 545 network protectors, 85.6 miles of three conductor 15kV lead covered cables, and 711 manholes. The system consists of four (4) 13.8 kV feeder circuits per network, a total of nine (9) networks, four (4) substations, and approximately 998 customer services. The standard network protector model is the Eaton CM-52 model network protector. Currently, CPS Energy has 336 Eaton CM-52 network protectors in service in the system and plans to replace all vintage makes and models with the Eaton CM-52 with the MPCV communicating relay. Additionally, CPS Energy plans to add primary voltage switchgear and secondary voltage network protector isolation switches in each existing vault and all future vaults.
