Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Engineer shall provide engineering services required to review and develop a pavement design, analysis, and evaluation report and provide recommendations for pavement design alternatives including flexible pavement and concrete pavement including but not limited to precast concrete for State’s projects. The services also include Pavement Feasibility Studies and Implementation Plans for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV), developing the initial concept/design of a Safety, Mobility, and Autonomy Research and Testing Track (SMARTTrack) Proving Grounds and planning and implementation of the coordinated driving Continuous and Automated Vehicle pilot demonstration and for the Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) technologies for precast concrete panels. It is expected at the time of the solicitation that work will be primarily in the Austin Distric, but work may be required in other districts.
