Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Tree trimming maintenance refers to the cutting of vegetation and tree limbs that encroach over or into the County right of way. It does not include surface mowing that would normally be performed during regular fleet mowing operations. 1.2. The majority of the trimming work will be done off the ground and in the air to trim back limbs and brush that are encroaching within the public right-of-way (ROW). 1.3. The contractor must have 2 units available for simultaneous use for EACH service center or a minimum of four (4) units if submitting a bid for the North, South, Central and West service center. 1.4. The hourly price shall include operation of all cutting machines, vehicles and associated tasks such as safe flagging, traffic control during set up etc. The hourly charge is for work only and does not include down time such as for repair, maintenance or mobilization / travel from the contractors location to the road(s) to be cut. 1.5. The hourly charge shall begin with the on-site commencement of work and stop when onsite work is complete. The hourly charge does not include travel time to the jobsite. 1.6. The contractor shall work as directed by Brazoria County for the hourly compensation amount described above with no other charges and / or fees. 1.7. The contractor shall perform all operations in accordance with standard safety practices regarding traffic control, visibility, etc.
