Specifications include, but are not limited to: developing and promoting the “Texas Model”, a method of trauma-informed corrections. TJJD is seeking the ability to secure training on strategies related to childhood trauma, and trauma-informed care. Qualified Vendors must: Provide training for multiple types of professionals including clinicians, case managers, juvenile correctional officers, educators, and other staff who either engage directly with youth or manage those who do. Provide training content that includes an understanding of complex developmental trauma and direct application for adolescents, especially those with criminogenic needs. Provide follow up consultative work to assess the application of training in real life settings and assist in adjusting training or modeling behavior for staff.
