In accordance with Texas Government Code 2269, Brazoria County is seeking proposals for the Surfside Jetty County Park Waterfront Revitalization Project. Brazoria County would like to make improvements to the Surfside Jetty County Park to provide access for the hundreds of park visitors to an additional parking area, and to additional restroom facilities and palapas along the Freeport Ship Channel. Completion of the proposed tasks will help to alleviate overcrowding of the southern end by allowing pedestrian access to the northern side of the park, which provides a walking trail and signage that was installed using CMP Cycle 14 grant funding. This (project/program) was funded (“in part” if appropriate) by a Texas Coastal Management Program grant approved by the Texas Land Commissioner, providing financial assistance under the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended, awarded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office for Coastal Management, pursuant to NOAA Award No. NA24NOSX419C0025.”
