6.1. Contractor will contact the site superintendent to view the sculpture and surrounding landscape features before commencing the fieldwork. 6.2. Contractor shall inspect the sculpture for any instabilities and structural soundness and address accordingly. 6.3. Contractor shall clean surfaces of dirt and accretions, repair and restore the sculpture according to the artist’s intention of noble patina and bronze where appropriate, utilizing , Attachment B, patinated areas identified by the artist and apply a protective sacrificial coating. 6.4. Contractor shall remove the hardened polish or color toned to match patina if removal is not achievable on the Maker of Peace Statue. Previously an artist attempted to polish the belly band portion of the sculpture (Attachment A, Figure C), however, the polish hardened due to the heat and created a white haze that needs to be removed. 6.5. Contractor shall provide a treatment plan to include instructions on annual maintenance identifying and inventorying all features, materials, and spatial relationships that are important in defining the historic character of the installation. 6.6. Contractor shall attach two (2) pieces to the installation - wrist adornment (Attachment A, Figure A) on the statue and a small piece off the plaque figurine (Attachment A, Figure B) on the limestone base.
