1. Review of Medication Orders and Coverage: The remote contracted pharmacists will be responsible for reviewing all orders that are in the pharmacy system (WORx by Mediware) batch review file after workday pharmacy business hours, weekends, and specified holidays. El Paso Psychiatric Center (EPPC) pharmacy holiday closures will be determined by the EPPC Pharmacy Director and will include all State of Texas Holidays as listed on the State of Texas Holiday. 2. The remote pharmacist will log onto EPPC pharmacy software (WORx) at the specified time and prospectively evaluate and verify medication orders so that they interface and cross over to Pyxis and the electronic Medication Administration Record (MediMAR), allowing the nurses to electronically retrieve medications from Pyxis and document on the administration record. 3. The medication orders will be processed by the remote pharmacist and be available to the nurse for medication removal from Pyxis and documentation in MediMAR.
