Specifications include, but are not limited to: Transport from hospitals, residential areas, highways, roadways, desert terrain, canals, or any other location within El Paso County ; Transport on a 24 hour/7days a week schedule to include all holidays. 4. Have two reliable, dedicated contact phone numbers available 24 hour/7 days a week to include holidays. ; Handle calls received from the OME as a first priority. 6. Be available at all times by telephone or pager. When contacted, contractor must respond within 10 minutes; staff must be readily available for response and transportation. 7. Respond within one hour to a death scene from initial dispatch time. 8. Dispatch two employees to a death scene at all times. 9. Remain at a death scene for up to thirty minutes, if the decedent is not ready for transport, without OME incurring additional charges. 10. Call the OME if an unforeseen circumstance arises where a delay in response will interfere with transport. 11. Keep their own transport log to include location for pick up, Medical Examiner’s Office Case Number along with dispatch times. ; Pick-up decedent(s) within the allotted time and transport directly to the OME without delay or unnecessary stops, unless an emergency arises. Once a transport has begun, contractor is prohibited from stopping at any other location while in route to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
