Prior to disassembly measure and record critical dimensions and produce an as found general arrangement drawings of the pump rotating element showing position of impeller, sleeves, seals and bearing. Measure and record wear ring clearance at 0º, 90º, and 180º 3. Remove rotating element from case and inspect wetted surfaces of upper and lower casing haves. 4. Inspect stuffing box and packing and record observations. Remove packing and observe and record packing sleeve diameter wear. 5. Measure and record wear ring diameters and resulting clearances, bearing housing bores, sleeve diameters, and impeller diameter. Review case wear ring roundness in lower casing half, and report. 6. Remove sleeve from shaft. Inspect impeller for damages. Visually inspect key seats and keys and report conditions. 7. Check shaft for straightness. B.
