Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Waco Project is for a Lump Sum Base Bid: Price to provide construction of the Mt. Carmel Water Treatment Plant chlorination system, including new feed and pumping systems. New chlorine feed improvements include replacing the existing chlorine gas feed system with four (4) new floor mounted cabinet chlorinators (2‐3000 ppd, 1‐2000 ppd, 1‐1000 ppd), new chlorine gas vacuum and solution piping, valves, injectors, gauges, and appurtenances. The project also includes of renovation of one (1) existing below‐grade 33” piping/vault with new 36” valve, construction of nine (9) new clearwell permanent groundwater dewatering wells and collection drain piping, replacement of reinforced concrete basin walkways (Train 4) with new hot-dipped galvanized steel walkways and handrail, construction of new 4‐inch PVC chlorine solution piping and diffuser header, new 36” – 48” buried steel clearwell piping, new 4” stainless steel water service piping, other miscellaneous plant work items as identified in the construction documents, and all piping/valving, plumbing and ventilation, appurtenances, accessories, painting, disinfection, testing, and site work, and all labor, equipment, and materials complete and in place as stated in RFB and shown on the plans. In addition to the Base Bid, the project includes 3 Additive Alternates concerning the replacement of reinforced concrete basin walkways for Trains 1, 2, and 3.
