Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Project Kick-off Meeting: Establish the parameters of the comprehensive planning process, and the types of assistance to be provided by consultant. Review Scope of Work. Review progress achieved to date. Review implementation schedule for the planning process. Train local participants on process-oriented planning concepts. 2. Committee and stakeholder meetings: Attend meetings as needed with County officials, local leaders, and Mission Trail stakeholders. During these meetings the consultant will serve as a sounding board for ideas, as well as a source of information and guidance on the planning process. The consultant will be expected to guide the community visioning and goal-setting process with community input. 3. Plan and facilitate public informational meetings: The consultant will be expected to work with County staff to plan and facilitate at least two (2) such meetings at the major milestones of the strategic planning process. The consultant will help insure that significant public input is incorporated into each successive stage of the planning process. 4. Situation Assessment: The consultant will be expected to provide guidance and technical assistance during the situation assessment phase of the planning process, and will produce a creditable situation assessment that will inform and guide the shape of the final updated plan.
