Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Denton is seeking to pre-qualify at least one respondent per category for a period of two years and the option to renew for a third year. Interested firms may be qualified for one or more of the following work categories: Major work categories: • Project/Program Management • Design of Roadways, Sidewalks, Bike Lanes, Intersections and Bridges • Design of Traffic Signals and Street Lights • Design of Wastewater, Water, Drainage Infrastructure • Design of Structural items (Pavilions, Pedestrian Bridges, Foundations, etc.) • Transportation Services Basic services for project management include, but are not limited to the following: • Development of a complete project scope, schedule, and budget • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders • Public engagement through public meetings, notices, etc. • Provide timely project updates and reports through all phases of the project on a, at minimum, monthly basis • Assistance in acquiring right of way and easements necessary to construct the project • Assistance in acquiring geotechnical testing necessary for project construction • Management project risks, challenges, and opportunities • Managing the project budget and recommending invoices for approval • Regular project coordination meetings with appropriate stakeholders • Reports to the City Engineer or approved designee to deliver projects assigned • Adherence to the City’s established Project Management Methodology • Adherence to and use of the City’s Standard Specifications, Criteria Manuals and Standard Details • Ability to assess and make recommendations on the use of Alternative Delivery Methods for specific projects and/or programs Basic Services for design categoriesinclude, but are not limited to the following: • Acquisition of data required to complete the project design • Preliminary engineering • Environmental assessment • Traffic studies/counts • Engineering design in adherence to City of Denton Criteria Manuals, Specifications and Standards • Preparation of construction plans • Preparation of Specifications, and contract bid documents • Application for and receipt of all required permits • Attending project status, pre-bid, and preconstruction meetings • Construction phase assistance and close-out • Assistance in public engagement • Assistance in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders • Providing sealed project “As-Built” drawings upon completion of each project • Ability to assess and make recommendations on the use of Alternative Delivery Methods for specific projects and/or programs
