Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (the “University”), acting through the University’s Office of the Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning & Operations, is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors ("Respondents") for selection to provide a Marina Operations Building consisting of 5,663 square foot Pre-Engineered Metal building for the School of Earth Environmental & Marine Science (2 labs, 1 large room, locker areas & staging/storage area) located at 905 South Garcia Street, Port Isabel, Texas and associated standards and services for the University, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Proposals (collectively, the “Project”). The scope of work (“Work”) for the Project is more particularly described in the plans and specifications, “Scope of Work”. The firm selected shall also coordinate necessary meetings, and fulfill other normal construction services. This Request for proposals ("RFP") provides Respondents with the information necessary to prepare and submit best value proposals for consideration by the University. For purposes of this RFP, the successful Respondent shall be sometimes referred to as “Contractor.”
