Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Microchips should be on a frequency range of 125 – 135 Kilohertz (kHz) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) complaint. 1.2 Microchip should have an anti-migration technology that forms a bond with an animal’s tissues to help prevent movement. 1.3 Each microchip should be pre-loaded within a single use beveled sterile syringe. The syringe should be in an individual peel pack that is fully disposable. The chip should be packaged 25 per box, with an enrollment information card and at least four (4) barcode sticker labels of the associated chip number. 1.4 Packaging should include a plastic, metal, or synthetic material ID tag with attaching loop ring (for easy collar attachment) that is embossed with the associated unique microchip number and the phone number to contact the national database of the manufacturing company.
