Specifications include, but are not limited to: 7.6.1.1 Evaluate eye and medical reports, conduct interview(s) and evaluate student skills to determine services needed; provide written evaluation and recommendations with copies to the Supervisor of Special Education and the classroom teacher; 7.6.1.2 Provide active training in skills to include, but not be limited to sighted‐guide skills, pre‐cane and cane skills, to allow each student to develop his/her maximum safe travel potential and functional independence in a variety of environments, including the public transportation system; 7.6.1.3 Prepare written functional vision assessments on a regular basis to be determined by Successful Offeror and GCISD; 7.6.1.4 Attend IEP committee meetings and provide supplements, reports, assessments as needed to the individual education plan for each student receiving services under this agreement.
