Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Guide the overall direction of the GIS project to achieve the prescribed goals as directed by the City Manager while minimizing expenses to the City of Mission, Texas. Change direction on a regular basis. Ensure availability to the City Manager and Deputy City Managers on a weekly basis to quickly respond to any requests. 2) Edit and review all contracted GIS data and application developments to ensure acceptable data quality. 3) Provide direction to City staff, affording the opportunity to effectively incorporate existing datasets into the ESRI GIS data format, ensuring successful transfer to graphical and tabular data. 4) Communicate and educate City staff regarding the extended phases of GIS and the associated capabilities and opportunities. Departmental Communication: - Meet with IT Department on an as needed basis - Meet with the City Manager on a regular basis - Meet with the Planning staff on a weekly basis and provide training, answer any questions, review any changes or additions to the GIS. Discuss other department activities that involve GIS - Meet with PD on an as-needed basis - Meet with PW on a weekly basis - Meet with FD on an as-needed basis - Meet with City Secretary on a regular basis - Meet with Golf Course Director on an as-needed basis - Meet with Finance Department on GASB34 as needed
