Inspecting sewer mains using a closed circuit TV camera documenting defects. 3. Transfer of inspection video to the OWNER’s Granite XP database. A. Cleaning shall be accomplished to the degree necessary to ensure that the line may be inspected by means of a remote video camera to determine any structural defects, horizontal and vertical bends, service connections, and to measure the length of individual segments. The high-velocity water jet machine selected for cleaning must be capable of removing sand, grease, rocks, roots, and other deleterious materials and obstructions from the sewer lines and manholes. All solids or semisolids resulting from the cleaning operations must be removed from the site and deposited at an OWNER approved and permitted facility. Liquid waste haulers must be permitted by and registered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Austin Water (AW). A manifest/trip ticket form obtained from AW must be completed for each liquid waste shipment. Permits and manifest forms must be obtained from Austin Water Special Services Division at (512) 972-1060. If a line segment is damaged as a result of improper cleaning techniques, then that repair will be made at the cost of the CONTRACTOR. Coordinate with the OWNER to schedule trips to dispose of sewer solids at an AW facility. B. Obstruction removal shall be performed to remove any debris, calcium deposits, tuberculation protruding taps, etc. The obstruction removal shall be accomplished prior to ordering the CIPP tube. A.
