Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1The Contractor shall provide four (4) work crews, consisting of twelve (12) person litter crews for seven (7) hours per day, five (5) days per week, except holidays and bad weather days. The four (4) work crews shall be located in the Northwest Quadrant, Northeast Quadrant, Southwest Quadrant, and the Southeast Quadrant. Normal working hours shall be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 2.2 Contractor shall be required to pick up all litter from the City of Houston Right-of-Way or City owned parcels in the designated work areas. The accumulated litter shall be properly disposed of by the Contractor at sites approved by the Contractor. 2.3 Once work has started in a specified area, Contractor shall proceed in an expeditious manner until all work is satisfactorily completed in this area. 2.4 The Contractor shall not be required to remove dead animals, tires, or objects weighing more than sixty (60) pounds. However, the Contractor shall notify the ROWMD (Right-of-Way Maintenance Division) of the location of these items. The Contractor shall not reject work orders for insect infestations. Protective clothing or insecticide sprays may be used in such events. The ROWMD Departmental representative shall approve all chemicals used in this effort first before use. 2.5 Travel time, food, fuel, or lodging shall not be reimbursed.
