1 Booster Pump Installation and Connection LS 1 $ $ SUBTOTAL (ITEM 1) $ 2 MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION, MAX 3% OF LINE ITEM 1 LS 1 $ $. HYDRONIC PUMPS SEPARATELY COUPLED, VERTICAL IN-LINE CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS Acceptable Manufacturers: Armstrong Pumps Inc. (Basis of design); Bell & Gossett; Grundfos. Factory-assembled and tested, centrifugal, overhung impeller, separately coupled, in-line pump, as defined in HI 1.1-1.2 and HI 1.3; designed for installation with pump and motor shafts mounted vertically. Casing: Radially split, cast iron, with threaded gauge tappings at inlet and outlet, replaceable lead free bronze wear rings, and ASME B16.5, Class 125 flanged connections. Impeller: Statically and dynamically balanced to HI 9.6.4.5, closed single or double-suction type bronze impeller securely mounted on pump shaft and attached with steel key, and secured with a locking cap screw. Impeller diameter: Trim to the maximum impeller size that does not cause an increase in motor size (so that maximum efficiency is achieved). Pump Shaft: Split coupled stainless steel shaft supported by bearings at both drive and non-drive ends of pump. Seal: Mechanical seal consisting of carbon rotating ring against a ceramic seat held by a stainless steel spring, and EPR bellows and gasket. Include water slinger on shaft between motor and seal. Provide factory installed flush line with manual vent. The seal shall provide continuous venting and lubrication of the seal chamber by re-circulating fluid from the seal chamber to the pump suction. Vent and lubrication tubing shall be stainless steel, provided with an isolation valve at nozzle connections, and installed free of slags or excessive bends. Bearings: Ball type, grease lubricated and locked to shaft with positive locks, sized to withstand any axial thrust loads. Each bearing housing is to be affixed to the casing to insure positive alignment.
